COMBINED Counties League Premier Division leaders Hartley Wintney suffered a rare loss as they went down 1-0 at Chertsey.
It was the first time in 10 league games the Row have been beaten, but they remain 10 points clear at the top and need six points from their last four games to clinch the title.
Talking after the game joint manager Danny Brownlie said: "It was a great shame to have lost the match, especially considering the volume of chances we created.
"We dominated proceedings throughout we just couldn't finish off our opportunities, not something that's happened to us all season. "
Next up for the Row is a home game against Raynes Park and then on Tuesday night they are away at Westfield.
Brownlie added: "All eyes are now focussed on Saturday, no time nor reason to overthink the last performance. We just have to put it right. The boys were disappointed, but one things for sure, they'll be fired up for Saturday's game."
