BOUNTY United take over top spot in Division Two following a 2-1 win against former leaders Basingstoke United.

In the 25th minute Andy Darmody gave Bounty the lead after a long goal kick was flicked on by Jordon Willis and his 35-yard shot proved to hot for goalkeeper James Sallows.

Bounty then had a chance to increase the lead when Sallows rushed out and floored Darmody, but he then did well to save the spot kick from Darmody.

They still went in at half time two goals up after another big kick with the wind was again helped on by Willis and Craig Williamson put the chance away.

With the wind the home side had more of the ball and chances, but they could only manage one in reply with nine minutes left to play when Tom Hartley managed to find Callum Chilcox, he cut in and his shot deflected in off Lawrence Benge. After this United had a lot of the game, but could not manage to score an equaliser.

Overton United B had an easy 7-1 win against AFC Berg. They took an early lead through Rob Perrett, but Kieran Allayne equalised within ten minutes.

United got on top and led 4-1 at the break and then added another for a 5-1 lead.

Their goals came from another from Perrett, Richard Spears (2), one for Kieran Fuller and own goals via Leo Pedro and Shane West.

Herriard Sports kept up their challenge for the title with a 5-0 win over TDI Group and highlight was the unlikely Dave Purt scoring three goals.

Purt is normally seen with the goalkeeper’s jersey, but for this game Chris Dobbie, their leading scorer and hero with the winning goal in their B Cup final triumph took over the gloves.

Purt put them ahead in the fifth minute, set up by Karl Buttle and added another on the 32 minute mark with Buttle again with the assist.

Richard Ellis made it 3-0, the pass coming again from Buttle. Excellent saves from Russ Hancock held Herriard up and there was some fight by TDI with new signing Luke Igo firing over and James Brown forcing a good save from Dobbie.

In the 48th minute Neil Minton played Ellis through for his second and Purt completed his hat-trick when put through by Ellis.

One goal was enough to see AFC Aldermaston A pick up the points against Winklebury Wizards.

Aldermaston manager Ben Jones has now picked up 10 points from his last four matches to see them up into fourth in the table, although the run has come to late to catch the leaders.

Their winning goal came in the 36th minute when a free-kick was half cleared and fell to Graham Bone, he played a one-two with Ashley Jones, whose curling shot was too good for the goalkeeper.

Three minutes into the second half Paul Mellor hit the post from a Nick Carter pass and as Wizards went down to 10 men through injury 10 minutes after the break and having used all their subs Kevin Flain hit the bar for Aldermaston. The one big chance Wizards had to salvage a point came when Scott Winterbourne was through on goal, but he screwed his shot wide.

Tron FC have to play eight league matches and two cup finals to play by the end of the month, had their league game against Basingstoke Athletic Reserves cancelled as the opposition could not raise a team. They will now have the three points awarded.
