NICK Cooper and Darren Turner did the damage as Old Basing beat Easton and Martyr Worthy by eight wickets in Hampshire Cricket League County Division Two.

Chasing the visitors' all-out total of 202, Cooper and Turner came together with the hosts in a spot of bother at 50-2.

However, the pair produced an unbeaten partnership of 155 to win the game for Basing, who are up to fourth in the table as a result, with Cooper smashing his way to 105 and Turner reaching 53.

Basingstoke and North Hants III suffered a two-wicket defeat away at Bournemouth II.

Arun Pothapragada made 55 as the visitors reached 188-7 but that did not prove to be enough, despite an excellent bowling display from Jake Fincken.

He took 5-30, while Shay Bradley chipped in with three wickets, but Bournemouth's ninth-wicket pair got the home side over the line.

Hook and Newnham Basics II brushed aside visiting Portchester to move up to fourth in Division One.

Liam Doran took four wickets as the visitors were dismissed for just 98, while Sam Bruin top-scored with 45 as Hook knocked off the runs with ease, winning by nine wickets.

Hobos remain unbeaten at the top of Division Three North after a five-wicket win over visiting Littleton and West Hill.

Littleton did well to make 219-6 batting first, but Hobos also shone with the bat, getting over the line with five wickets in hand.

Hook and Newnham Basics III had a comfortable win over visiting Liss. Harry Warner made 59 as the hosts made 222 before bowling Liss out for 138 to win by 84 runs.

Will Kerr took 4-38 as Hartley Wintney II restricted visiting Alton III to 187-8, but their reply came up just short, the hosts being bowled out for 176 to lose by 11 runs.

Bottom side AWE Tadley were unable to prevent hosts South Wilts III beating them by 74 runs.

South Wilts made 232-7 batting first and while Will Bellfield hit 57, AWE were bowled out for 158 in reply.

Overton were dismissed for 101 at home to OTs and Romsey, going on to lose by six wickets.

There were mixed fortunes for the two north Hampshire sides in Division Four North.

James Bevan top-scored with 79 and Damian Hack made 48 as Whitchurch reached 258-7 at IBM Hursley. The hosts were then dismissed for 156 to give Whitchurch a 102-run win.

Oakley lost out by two wickets at home to local rivals Wherwell.

Gerry Dique made 92 and Dan Sumner 54 as Oakley reached 202-7 and while Mark Potter took 6-55 in the reply, Wherwell got over the line with eight wickets down.
