AN EXCELLENT partnership of 216 between Tony Glass and Stefan Cox helped Overton III to mount a mammoth run chase at home to Easton and Martyr Worthy II in Hampshire Cricket League Regional Division Three North East.

The visitors reached a formidable total of 306-7 batting first, but Overton managed to win by six wickets, thanks in no small part to the efforts of Glass, who made 123, and Cox, who reached 116.

Oakley II remain top of the table after winning at Colden Common II. Alex Brundle took four wickets and Michael Wood three as the hosts were dismissed for 96, a total Oakley reached to win by seven wickets.

Third-placed St Mary's enjoyed a comfortable 81-run win away at Basingstoke and North Hants V.

Veeru Pokola made an unbeaten 61 and Marc Minikin ended the innings on 51 as the visitors made 206-9, with Ben Firrell (4-32) and Harley Bradley (3-19) the main wicket-takers. Dan Vickery then too 3-29 as Basingstoke were dismissed for 125.

Struggling Odiham and Greywell III got the better of Hartley Wintney III. Tim Soper took 4-17 as Hartley bowled their hosts out for 186, but while Martin Prodger hit 50 for the visitors, Kerry Hartnett took 4-14 as they were dismissed for 155.

Sunit Mistry took 5-22 as AWE Tadley II bowled St Cross Symondians VI out for 171, but the visitors could only make 145 in reply.

Odiham and Greywell remain at the top of Division One North after a comprehensive 109-run win over visiting Chawton. Having reached 234-8, Tom Wiltshire took 6-33 and Ross McGaughrin 3-28 as Odiham bowled their guests out for 125.

Ramsdell romped to a 213-run win away at Herriard. Michael Abbott hit 102 and Jonny Bradley made 87 as the visitors reached 271-3, while Dave Monger took 3-15 as Herriard were bowled out for just 58.

Sherfield-on-Loddon made the short trip to Kingsclere and won by 21 runs. Ian Winder made 58 as the visitors reached 200, while Adi Nixon took 5-24 as the Kingsclere were bowled out for 179.

Arjun Miriyala hit an unbeaten 90 as Old Basing II won by 87 runs at Donnington. Basing reached 215-6 before restricting their hosts to 128-6 in reply.

Basingstoke and North Hants IV lost to visiting Holybourne. Lewis Benge made 70 and Benjamin Bisson 59 as Basingstoke reached 229-8 and while Matthew Deadman took 3-55, Holybourne got the required runs to win by two wickets.

Ashford Hill were bowled out for 141 chasing hosts Tichbourne Park II's total of 256-4.

Hook and Newnham Basics IV needed an ninth-wicket partnership worth 76 to beat visiting Otterbourne in Division Two North. Chasing the visitors' all-out total of 180, Hook seemed to be in trouble at 106-8, but Aaron Deere (64 not out) and Aaron Simpson (11 not out) saw them home.

Odiham and Greywell II squeezed past hosts Rowledge III. The visitors were bowled out for 155, but Peter Hodgson took 3-36 as Rowledge lost out by four runs.

Old Basing III are top after beating OTs and Romsey IV by 21 runs, successfully defending 175-9, while Silchester were bowled out for 148 chasing 231-8 at Penton. Rotherwick ITW's trip to Hawkley was called off.

Overton II lie fourth in Division Three North West bowling visiting Thruxton out for 102 and winning by three wickets.

Ramsdell II remain top of Division Four North after a last-ball win over Herriard II, winning by four wickets chasing the visitors' total of 228-5.

Daniel Hyland hit 93 not out as Ashford Hill II made 258-4, but visiting Wherwell won by two wickets, despite Jack Ballard taking 3-50.

Struggling Whitchurch II were bowled out for 109 at Aldershot V and lost by eight wickets.
