BASINGSTOKE Town have re-signed former Reading striker Nicholas Bignall.

The 24-year-old had a spell at The Soccer AM Stadium at the end of last season, scoring a hat-trick against Staines Town on the final day of the campaign.

He returned at the start of the current season, but was unable to force his way into the team and left for Sutton United.

He replaces Patrick Cox in Jason Bristow's squad, the striker having left in search of regular football.

Bignall goes into the squad for tomorrow's home game against Bishop's Stortford.
