ANOTHER three-point weekend, with a win over Milton Keynes Lightning and an overtime loss at Sheffield Steeldogs, has maintained our good start to 2015.

Before Saturday’s game against MK, it was a great pleasure for captain Nicky Chinn and I to receive a cheque for £7,500 from the Bison Booster Club.

The support the team gets from our fans is second to none and this is one of many ways they show their support for the Bison.

The victory over the Lightning was a real gutsy win as we had a lot of players playing out of position.

One of these was forward Stuart Mogg, who was moved to play in defence and did a great job.

It means we can now use him anywhere on the ice, either as a forward or in defence.

Penalties cost us in Sheffield after we got ourselves into a position to win the game in the final period.

I have said all season we are a match for any team when we play five-on-five.

We have a few injuries at the moment, but are hoping Joe Baird will be back this weekend.

Grant Rounding is two weeks away, while Brendan Baird and Matt Selby will be a little longer.

As the season comes to an end, the focus will be on the play-offs and we want to make sure we have a full healthy line-up, as well as the momentum from a good run of results.

We want to finish as high as possible in the standings, even if we know the title has escaped us.

We had a big crowd and a great atmosphere in our building last weekend.

I am sure it will be the same again as we entertain our local rivals Bracknell.

See you on Saturday.

All the best,

Doug
