AFTER a frustrating match at Eastbourne last week, we are looking forward to a run of very important fixtures against teams that are looking to challenge for promotion this season.

First up are Gosport Borough, who we know a lot about.

They have made a couple of changes in personnel since we last played them, so it will be interesting to see how they line up.

We then play Weston-super-Mare, who may be quite a way down the table but have been in terrific form of late.

Then we face Bromley and Boreham Wood, who currently occupy second and first place in the table.

This will be a very testing period for us but it’s a run of games that the squad is looking forward to.

It’s testament to the players that a couple of these games are being billed as top-of-the-table clashes.

It shows how well they have performed this season.

We must not get carried away though.

We still have 18 league games to play and if we drop below the standards we have already set, we will be looking at a mid-table finish again.

The players have a real desire to achieve something this season and the togetherness of the group shines through after disappointing games like last Saturday. There was no finger pointing and the group accepted responsibility collectively.

They agreed that it was a below-par performance and they can’t wait to get back on the pitch to put things right.

Regards,

Jason
