SOLDIERS Return Reserves crashed out of the Hampshire Sunday Junior A Cup with a 4-2 defeat to visiting Wickham Dynamos.
Pawel Durbot put the hosts ahead and while Wickham levelled, Ben Allnutt soon had Soldiers Return back in front. However, Wickham levelled for a second time and took the lead before half-time, adding another goal after the break to give themselves some breathing space.
Clayton Andrews, James Maclean, Tom Green and Joe Marsh all netted for Chineham Reserves, but they went down 7-4 away at Duke of York.
DG Athletic lost 7-1 at home to Lee Community Centre, Robbie Gregory scoring for the hosts, while Oakley Reserves pulled out of their tie against Chineham on Saturday night due to a lack of players. As it was, the pitch was waterlogged and the match would have been called off anyway.
Only one league match survived the rain, FC Everest stretching their lead in Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division Two to nine points with a 6-1 win at Hampshire Irons.
