BASINGSTOKE Blizzards started their season with a 75-67 victory at Windsor Warriors.
The Blizzards, who merged with Basingstoke Bobcats over the summer, went into the opening day of the Wessex Division One season in good form after finishing second in a pre-season tournament.
It was the Warriors who scored first, but the Blizzards hit back and led 22-18 at the end of the first quarter and by two points by half-time.
The Blizzards switched to a man-on-man defence after the break and led 61-53 at the end of the third quarter. Basingstoke maintained their eight-point lead in the final quarter to claim victory.
