WE RETURN to league action this week and we make another long journey for an away trip, this time to Concord Rangers.

Concord are in fine form at the moment and will provide really tough opposition for us. They are a physical side that can play football and will be a real threat.

Last weekend, we progressed in the FA Cup with a very comfortable victory away at Bridgwater Town.

It was a strange game where we were allowed to keep the ball for long periods. I believe that if Bridgwater had come out to try and win the game, we would have been able to exploit the space they would have left at the back and scored more goals.

The draw for the next round took place on Monday and we have been drawn away to Ebbsfleet United. It is a very tough draw, but it is a match that we will be very much looking forward to.

Last week the academy put in another fine performance and recorded a 2-2 draw at Gosport Borough. The side showed a lot of character to come from behind and were very unlucky not to take all three points.

Two excellent finishes from George Hallahan gave the team a share of the points but there were several other individual performances that were also very good. This week we host high-flying Oxford City.

On Tuesday we welcome Whitehawk to The Soccer AM Stadium. I’m sure many of you will be looking forward to seeing Sergio Torres return with his new team, but once again it will be a huge test for us against a side full of quality.

Regards,

Jason
