LAMB Inn sit proudly atop the Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division One table after a 6-1 victory over hosts Dayer's Fine Foods.

The leaders were five goals ahead at the break and while Dayer's improved after the break, they were unable to get back into the game. Carlos Gonzalez, Dean Hill, Ben Nicholls and Chis Smalley were among the Lamb Inn scorers, while Dave Lee got Dayer's lone reply.

Republic of Chineham recovered from being a goal down at half-time to beat South View 3-1. Myles Englefield's goal had South View ahead at the end of a first half they dominated, but strikes from Wayne Finn, Matthew Bennett and Adam Di Manbro saw Chineham take the points.

Tron won 6-2 away at Oakley thanks to Nathan Rae's brace, a Chris Morris penalty and further goals from Charlie Palmer, Dave Parry and Michael Flannery.

Injury-hit Kaiser Wessex faced a tough trip to Soldiers Return and ended up losing 7-1. Matt Love opened the scoring for Soldiers and while Ama Bhuller made sure the sides were level at the break, the hosts scored six in the second half.

Jamie Gilpin and Andy Butler both scored twice, with Freddie Cloke and Ellis Hauman also finding the net.
