HARTLEY Wintney were unable to dent Spelthorne Park’s unbeaten start in the Combined Counties League Premier Division, as they went down to the visitors 3-2.
The home side came back from 2-0 to level the game thanks to Lukas Burt and a Craig Barker penalty.
Unfortunately, the visitors added a third and Hartley’s cause was not helped as they goalkeeper Craig Atkinson suffered an ankle injury and midfielder Elliot Hobden took over.
Tonight (7.30pm), Hartley are in Hampshire Senior Cup first round action against Wessex side Andover New Street, with a trip for Gosport Borough next week the prize for the winners.
