WHITCHURCH United suffered heavy defeats in their final two games of the season to end the campaign 13th in the Wessex League Premier Division.
Matt Scott got the Jam Boys' only goal as they were beaten 4-1 away at Sholing last Thursday night, while Louis Macey was the Whitchurch scorer as they went down 5-1 at Bournemouth Poppies in their final game on Saturday.
A mid-table finish is a decent return from their first season following promotion, but it could have been so much better.
Jim Macey's men spent the first half of the season battling near the top of the table, but a run of just one win in 11 games at the end of season saw them slip down the standings.
