PURE Spartan kept their promotion hopes from the Basingstoke and District Saturday League Division One alive after they beat Welly Old Boys Reserves 2-1.
Welly took the lead from Danny Costan, but Pure equalised from Russell Williams and then Jason Brown scored the winner.
There was a set back for title hopes of Overton United A, as they drew 2-2 with Hook Reserves, leaving Skewers in pole position.
Hook took the lead after 16 minutes from Stuart Bauser, but Overton levelled a minute after the break from Wayne Barlow.
Hook re-took the lead just after the hour mark, when a lob forward by Chris Dodd led to Jack McKee scoring.
Overton came back again seven minutes from time as new signing Jesse Todd headed home at the far post.
Overton are now two points behind leaders Skewers with both having four matches left to play, but both Tadley A and Pure Spartan are still in the mix.
