VISITING Wembley recovered from 2-0 down to grab a point against stuttering Hartley Wintney on Saturday.
Shane Hollamby gave the hosts a half-time lead with a header from a corner, while Ian Jones’ strike just after the break seemed to have sewn up three points for Hartley.
However, Wembley pulled one back from the penalty spot on 65 minutes and levelled the scores 10 minutes later. They were then reduced to 10 men as one of their players was shown a second yellow card, but Hartley were unable to take advantage and the game ended 2-2.
The result means Hartley sit 13th in the Combined Counties Premier Division table. They have games in hand on all of the sides above them due to their success in the FA Cup but they need to turn their form around soon in order to challenge for honours.
The village side will be looking to get back to winning ways tomorrow night, when they host Westfield (kick-off 7.30pm).
