Stuart Archibald was forced to sit out this week’s event on golf’s Mena Tour after his driver was accidentally snapped in half.
The incident happened at the end of last week’s Dubai Creek Open. Archibald overcame a poor start to finish in 20th place on +5, dipping under par for the first time on the final day with a closing round of 70 (-1).
However, his joy was shortlived as the Worting golfer saw his bag fall off a transportation buggy, with his driver snapping in half.
Unable to find a suitable replacement, Archibald sat out the American Express Dirab Golf Championship in Saudi Arabia, but he is due to return to action at the Sheikh Maktoum Dubai Open tomorrow.
