TOP British forward Joe Greener feels he has unfinished business with the Basingstoke Bison after re-signing this week.
The 26-year-old fans’ favourite will certainly add some firepower to the Herd offence and is another important returnee, who will also be the Bison’s assistant/coach this season.
Basingstoke-born Greener scored 17 times last season in a points tally of 49 from 46 games and said: “I feel I have some unfinished business as we have yet to win some silverware and I hope to put that right this year.”
“It was frustrating season last year as I was only fit for 25 of the games so I will hope I can avoid injuries this season.”
Bison player/coach Doug Sheppard is pleased to have one of his star Brits back and said: “Joe (Greener) played hurt for a lot of the season, but he brings a physical edge is a great penalty killer and comes one with big goals.”
“Joe is helping me with the recruitment in especially with his contacts in North America and I know he wants to go into coaching so it is good fit for him to become assistant coach."
