THE Basingstoke Bison won the top-of-the-table clash with Guildford Flames 1-0 on Saturday to go five points clear at the English Premier League summit.
Greg Owen scored the winner in the first period after good work from Joe Rand and Joe Greener.
In a great all round team performance Kurt Reynolds was voted man-of-the-match and Stevie Lyle enjoyed a 27 shot shut-out.
In the final seconds of the game after Guildford had pulled their netminder Bison's Greg Chambess hit the post with a long range effort.
