THE A33 southbound between Binfields Roundabout and the Ringway Roundabout is due to be closed overnight for four nights this week.
As part of the ongoing works on the A33, closures are planned from Monday, 27 November to Thursday, 30 November from between 8pm to 5am.
A diversion will be in place via Wade Road and Faraday Road.
The closures are part of a wider Hampshire County Council project, which began in August, to increase capacity and help reduce congestion on the A33.
A project update from Hampshire County Council read: "So far as possible we will endeavour to carry out the noisier elements of the work as early as possible during the evening to minimise disturbance. These works have been scheduled at night to avoid disruption to traffic at this busy roundabout."
The overall project of improvements at Crockford and Great Binfields Roundabouts include:
-widening the existing approach roads
-road widening works on the roundabout
installation of traffic signals on the roundabout
-upgrading of existing pedestrian and cycle facilities and connections
-drainage works
