TRAINS running through Hampshire are delayed or cancelled this evening after a landslip near Micheldever.
A number of South Western Railway services between London Waterloo and the south coast have been cancelled after the landslip, which came just after heavy showers struck the region.
Replacement bus services are operating between Basingstoke and Southampton, whilst CrossCountry services are being diverted via Salisbury.
Other services from the New Forest and Dorset are being diverted via Havant.
SWR expect disruption until the end of the day.
We have a landslip between Micheldever & Winchester which means the lines are blocked. @SW_Help and @CrossCountryUK passengers are affected. Please check before you travel. We have geotech experts on the way and are working to get passengers moving again. More info as we get it pic.twitter.com/j8j0cFIBoT

A SWR spokesman added: "Tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on Cross Country trains between Basingstoke and Southampton Central. These trains will divert via Salisbury.
"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
Geotech experts are on site, according to Network Rail Wessex.
