OVER 150 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Test Valley in the past seven days, the latest government data reveals.
Figures released by the government on Sunday, November 15 at 4.09pm show that there have been 154 cases reported in the borough since November 9 - 19 of which were reported yesterday.
This is an increase of 45 cases (41.3 per cent) on the previous seven day period.
In the past 24 hours, there has also been one newly reported death reported within 28 days of a positive test for Covid-19 - the first in over a week.
It comes after five deaths were recorded in the week before.
However, the coronavirus 'rate' in Test Valley - the number of people testing positive per 100,000 of the population - remains well below the UK average.
On average, 100.7 people test positive per 100,000 of the population, compared to a country-wide rate of 250.2.
And in Andover town, the rate sits at just 37.5 per 100,000.
