There have been no new coronavirus death recorded across all Hampshire hospitals in the past 24 hours.

It comes as England today (Wednesday) moves closer to 28,000 coronavirus-related deaths in hospitals.

Figures released by NHS England today show that amongst the new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, none were at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester hospitals.

No new deaths were recorded at Portsmouth Hospital, none were recorded at University Hospital Southampton and none at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

A further 88 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 27,707.

Patients were aged between 43 and 102 years old. Three patients (aged between 53 and 87) had no known underlying health conditions.
