A DRIVER who ‘slid across the carriageway’ and crashed into oncoming traffic has pleaded guilty to driving without due care or attention.
Ryan Sterrett, of Swinton Barracks, in Perham Down, faced charges of driving an Audi on the A343, in Hurstbourne Tarrant, without due care or attention during an incident on November 6 last year.
It was said that he was ‘driving inappropriately for the weather conditions, causing his vehicle to slide across onto the opposite carriageway and crash head-on into oncoming traffic’.
The 21-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence via single justice procedure, while he also admitted a further charge of driving without the correct insurance.
The case, however, was adjourned due to the situation regarding Covid-19, with a holding date of June 26 set for the new hearing.
