A MAN who was clocked almost 20mph over the speed he should have been driving has been made to pay more than £300.
Daniel Swayland, of Queens Road, Minster on Sea, in Kent, was driving a Mercedes van on the A303 near Parkhouse Cross on November 21 last year.
The vehicle should not have been travelling at more than 60mph, however the 20-year-old was clocked at 79mph.
He was proved guilty via single justice procedure and given three penalty points on his licence.
Magistrates also fined him £220 and made him pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.
