A group of schoolchildren from a top independent school were asked to stay home yesterday after attending a birthday party at Andover Leisure Centre.
The Farleigh School students, where a term of fees can set parents back £6,700, are understood to have visited Andover's public swimming pool on Saturday.
On the same day, a gentleman who later tested positive for coronavirus turned up to the swimming centre to collect his grandchild.
Frustrated parents were asked to keep their children home on Monday to minimise any risk to the wider student body.
However the school recinded that decision later in the day, after confirming the the Advertiser that the unwell gentleman did not visit the public pool while the students were at a party.
