A POPULAR BBC radio show will be broadcast from a Basingstoke school tonight.

Presenter Jonathan Dimbleby will host BBC Radio 4's Any Questions? at The Costello School, in Crossborough Hill.

Guests will be able to submit questions to ask live on the show, which will broadcast live at 8.02pm.

Mr Dimbleby, who won a BAFTA for his report on the Ethiopian famine of 1973, has chaired Any Questions? since 1987.

The programme offers topical discussion in which a panel of personalities from the worlds of politics, media and elsewhere are posed questions by the audience.

It is held in a different location each week.

The panellists at Costello include shadow lord chancellor Lord Falconer and MP John Nicolson, from the Scottish National Party.

The audience will take part in warm-up prior to the live show, and will be encouraged to ask questions about what’s in the news, covering national and international issues.

Tracey Stratton from Costello, said: “We thought it would be really good to stimulate the children in the debate team.”

Members of the public are invited to attend, and can register for free at eventbrite.co.uk /e/radio-4-any-questions-tickets-1920984215 5?ref=estw.
