THE NEXT generation of designers and engineers from Robert May’s School, Odiham have been encouraged by a local MP at Westminster.
Ranil Jayawardena met and encouraged students in their interest of design, technology and engineering whilst they were attending a host by the Design and Technology Association in Westminster.
The students have had a successful few weeks, they recently returned from the World F1 in Schools Championships which was held in Malaysia and were crowned National Champions earlier in the year.
Ranil Jayawardena MP said: “It was a great pleasure to meet the students from Robert May’s School and to congratulate them in person on their wonderful successes at both the UK and World F1 in Schools Championships.”
The students then were given a tour of the Houses of Parliament by Ranil and had a meeting with him to discuss their success and the wider tops of Design, Technology and Engineering in schools.
