A TODDLER has been left orphaned after his parents were found dead in a bungalow on Buckland Avenue on Father’s Day.

Geoffrey Hibbert, 61, and Michelle Caroline Hibbert, 29, of Buckland Avenue in Basingstoke, were found by officers just before 2am on Sunday, 20 June.

Hampshire police have confirmed they are working closely with Child Services to ensure the child is safeguarded and provided the support.

A spokesperson for Hampshire County Council told the Gazette: “We are unable to provide any details as, in the interests of safeguarding, this must remain confidential.”

On Sunday, police arrested a 52-year-old man from Sherborne St John on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at this time.
