THE big day has almost arrived for pensioner Margie Doherty who will carry the Olympic flame through her home town in an historic moment tomorrow.
The 81-year-old, of Abbey Road, Popley, has admitted she is “nervous” ahead of the momentous occasion, when the torch relay finally arrives in Basingstoke at 12.29pm tomorrow.
