STAFF from two local pubs will freefall through the sky on Friday to raise money for a children’s hospice.
Team members and directors from brewer Hall and Woodhouse’s 54 pubs are taking part in the daredevil stunt in support of Naomi House, in Sutton Scotney.
Joining in with the challenge are staff from The Wellington Arms, in Stratfield Turgis, and Queen’s College Arms, in Tadley.
The company has supported the hospice for nearly a year after choosing to raise money for it during 2011-12, and has already generated £60,000 through sponsored walks, mountain climbs, quiz nights and chess tournaments.
It has booked the whole of Netheravon Airfield, home of the Army Parachuting Association, to allow stout-hearted team members to experience freefall parachuting from 13,000 feet.
A total of 75 staff have agreed to take the plunge on May 25.
Professor Khalid Aziz, chairman of Naomi House, said: “The team at Hall and Woodhouse have been an absolute delight to work with throughout the year, and have raised a phenomenal amount of money to support our crucial work.
“The creative and imaginative way in which team members raised the funds has been fantastic and an inspiration to our fundraising team.
“We can’t thank Hall and Woodhouse enough for being so generous and supportive and hope they enjoy their day of skydiving.”
