BEAUTY queen Laura Ashfield will represent England in a global pageant after winning a national competition.

Laura won the title of Miss Intercontinental England after dazzling judges at the Palace Hotel in Manchester.

She will represent the country in the international final of Miss Intercontinental later this year.

The finalists were judged in four rounds – evening wear, swimwear, fashion wear and interview.

Holly Ikin, director of Miss Intercontinental in the UK, said: “It was a very deserving win and I know Laura will be an excellent representative for England in the international pageant.

“Laura dazzled the judges in every round and her natural beauty shone through.”

The 24-year-old, from Old Basing, will be joined by Miss Intercontinental Scotland, Sarah Pitt, and Miss Intercontinental Wales, Christi Janae Neveling.

Along with the overall title, Laura took home the titles for best in evening wear, best in swimwear, best in fashion wear, best in interview and most photogenic.
