A FARCE with a stellar cast is playing at Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre before heading to the West End.
JB Priestley’s timeless comedy, When We Are Married, is currently being performed in Guildford until October 16, before heading into London.
Set in the heart of northern England, three respectable couples who married on the same day, in the same church, by the same vicar, are celebrating their silver anniversaries.
But shocking truths come out and all is not as blissful as it seems.
The production, featuring a nine-strong cast and directed by Christopher Luscombe, is brimming with British talent.
The cast includes Olivier Award-nominated Rosemary Ashe, Lynda Baron (Nurse Gladys in Open All Hours), Grumpy Old Woman Susie Blake, Some Mothers Do Ave Em’s Michele Dotrice, the distinguished David Horovitch, veteran entertainers Roy Hudd and Sam Kelly, Olivier Award-winner Maureen Lipman and Simon Rouse (The Bill).
Tickets for the show can be booked by calling 01483 440000 or going online to yvonne-arnaud.co.uk.
