CASSIE is a looking for a male friend to live with in a loving new home.
She is a friendly pet and likes to nibble on fresh fruit and vegetables, including lettuce, cucumber, carrots and apples, but full care and dietary advice will be given upon adoption.
Most rabbits like the companionship of the opposite sex, including 10-month-old Cassie, but it is not advisable to mix same-sex bunny rabbits, especially females, unless they have lived together since they were babies.
Even male rabbits castrated at 12 weeks should not be kept together as one will become more dominant and make life unbearable for the other. STARescue castrates all male rabbits and partners them up with a female.
Anyone able to give Cassie, or any other homeless pet, a suitable home can call the Basingstoke animal charity on 01256 330532 and leave their name and telephone number, speaking slowly and clearly.
