Sir.–We would like to thank the three lads who went out of their way to help us when we were lost in Basingstoke on June 10. We had travelled from near Dover to visit a friend and could not find the road we wanted.

We stopped at a bus stop where they were and asked if they could help. After giving complicated, detailed instructions they asked if we would like them to show us the way.

They jumped in the car and directed us to the road.

We don’t know how far they went out of their way, but they assured us they would get back all right.

Without their help we don’t know where we would have ended up.

We hope that at least one of them sees this letter so they know how much we thank them and to know that they have restored our faith in the youth of today!

–Hazel and Colin Roberts, Lydden, Dover.
