JUST a reminder about the Christmas bring-and-buy sale at Oakley Methodist Church on Saturday, from 10am to noon, at the chapel by the pond.

The profits from the sale will be divided between Naomi House children’s hospice and church funds.

There will be lots of things to buy, including books, cakes and jam, Christmas gifts and Naomi House cards.

ANOTHER Christmas fair to tell you about is at the United Reformed Church, in London Street, Basingstoke, on Saturday, November 15.

Doors will open from 9.30am until 2.30pm, and there will be lots of stalls with early Christmas presents, refreshments and lots more.

THE Girls Brigade First Basingstoke Company will be hosting a Pampered Chef fundraising show at Trinity Methodist Church hall, in Sarum Hill, Basingstoke, on Saturday, at 7pm.

The girls will be preparing some tasty dishes using the Pampered Chef range of cooking tools.

Come and have an enjoyable evening with a chance to purchase items from the catalogue. It will also raise funds for their Zambia 2010 appeal.

For tickets and more information, contact the Trinity office on 01256 816173.

I AM always interested in the contents of church magazines and the diversity of stories and information and enjoyed reading Pilgrim Places in the Tadley and Pamber Heath Parish Magazine.

This month it has been about Whitby and Christianity. It will be continuing next month.

If you have any church history stories which you would like to share, do let me know.

THE Gazette will be publishing the usual Christmas services, so let me have your details as soon as possible.

I can be contacted by post to 16 Brocas Drive, Basingstoke, RG21 5LT or by e-mailing blairman@btinternet.com. Also, if you have a website and the information is on it, please let me have your web address.
