Alter Eagles to perform with Spectre Quartet in Newbury

The Alter Eagles will return to Arlington Arts Centre, Newbury on Friday, September 11, at 8pm.

The band will be joined by friends the Spectre Quartet, allowing them to perform renditions of Eagles' ballads such as Wasted Time and The Last Resort, along with solo numbers like New York Minute.

The group has also re-worked some Eagles' classics to incorporate a string section in celebration of their 23rd year of touring.

Since their debut gig in 2003, the Alter Eagles have headlined theatres across the country, playing a mix of old and new Eagles' songs.

The show will feature classics like Hotel California, Take It Easy and Life In The Fast Lane, as well as Henley, Frey and Walsh solo numbers like Boys of Summer.

The band members include Steve McCormack, Alan Tomkins, Rob Beattie, Mike Bradley and Ed Chisholm.

Tickets for the show cost £27, including a £1 booking fee, and can be purchased online at arlington-arts.com/events/the-alter-eagles.

The Spectre Quartet members are Caroline Stead, Dalma Gebe, Annie Pullar and Jenny Maslin.
