The Philharmonia Orchestra will perform at The Anvil

The Philharmonia Orchestra will perform at The Anvil on Wednesday, 30 September, under the baton of conductor Delyana Lazarova.

It will be the debut performance with the orchestra for both Lazarova and pianist Lukas Sternath.

The programme includes Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture, Grieg’s Piano Concerto and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5.

The Philharmonia Orchestra is Anvil Arts’ Orchestra in Partnership.

Born in Vienna in 2001, Sternath was a member of the Vienna Boys’ Choir and has performed on major stages across Europe, North America and Asia.

He completed his master’s degree at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media in 2025.

In September 2022, he won first prize and seven special awards at the 71st International ARD Music Competition in Munich.

He recently made his BBC Proms debut with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under the direction of chief conductor Sakari Oramo.

Tickets are priced at £48.50, £44.50, £39.50, £29.50 and £21, with under-25s and full-time students able to attend for just £14.
