A Hart football club has warned it may have to postpone or move matches because of ‘ongoing drought conditions.’
Hartley Wintney FC (HWFC), which plays in the Isthmian League, warned supporters that it may not be able to hold its home fixtures as part of the tournament.
A spokesman said repeated heatwaves, drought and sharply reduced water pressure had made it a ‘major challenge to complete pitch works.’

Volunteers have worked long hours to maintain and water the pitch, but the club may be unable to stage home games without enough rain ‘until such time that the pitch is playable.’
HWFC was due to play a fixture against Egham Town at The Memorial Playing Fields in Green Lane on August 18 and is now ‘working on a solution.’
The club is due to host Hendon on September 12, but the league said the games ‘cannot be rearranged to a more suitable date.’
It said it told the Isthmian League on July 27 and 30 that it might not be able to stage matches and has contacted clubs ‘with a view to reversing fixtures or rearranging them to a time when the pitch will be safe to play on.’
The drought has also hit the club’s finances after it was forced to move pre-season friendlies to neutral venues.
The club said: "We will advise everyone as soon as we have answers and the necessary league approvals for these games."
