Completion of Whitewater Place care home, Odiham, celebrated

Barchester Healthcare's Whitewater Place, in Odiham, was celebrated at a ceremony attended by invited guests from the local community.

Odiham Parish Council chair Cllr Dr Angela McFarlane unveiled a commemorative plaque and cut the ribbon at the event.

Cllr Dr McFarlane said: "I was delighted to be invited to unveil a plaque and to formally cut the ribbon to mark the completion of the new Whitewater Place Care Home.

"It was a true honour to visit this wonderful new facility, which represents not just bricks and mortar, but a commitment to dignity, compassion, and community for our older residents.

"Whitewater Place will be a place where people are cared for with warmth, respect and professionalism, and I am proud to see such an important investment in the wellbeing of our village.

"On behalf of myself and the parish, I wish Louise Lambert, the senior general manager, and the staff and residents, every happiness and success as this new chapter begins.

"I was truly touched by the passion of both the staff and the management team on the day, as well as the amazing thought and insight that have gone into creating such a wonderful residence."

The care home, set within landscaped gardens, is designed to prioritise resident comfort and deliver high-quality support tailored to individual needs.

Louise Lambert, senior general manager at Whitewater Place, said: "We are delighted our home is now completed, our residents are at the heart of everything we do at Whitewater Place, and we look forward to welcoming them and their families, and becoming an active part of the local community.

"We take pride in really getting to know each of our residents to provide tailored care and support, ensuring dignity and choice in every aspect of daily life."

Barchester Healthcare said the home will provide person-centred care, a choice-led daily experience and a full programme of life enrichment activities aimed at supporting wellbeing.
