A musician best known for his work with The Moody Blues is heading to Basingstoke this autumn.

Justin Hayward will perform at The Anvil on Saturday, October 24, as part of his latest tour, The Story in Your Eyes.

A member of The Moody Blues since 1966, Hayward wrote some of the band’s biggest hits, including Nights in White Satin and Tuesday Afternoon.

Hayward said: "So many of the venues we are playing this year hold warm and special memories for me going right back.

"Music brings us a world of imagination and I am looking forward to being right there in the middle of that."

The Moody Blues sold 70 million albums worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.

As a solo artist, Hayward also found success with the 1978 Top Ten hit Forever Autumn from Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds.

He spent much of 2023 and 2024 touring, including a co-headlining US tour with Christopher Cross, and completed his Forever Autumn UK tour last year.

Tickets for the Basingstoke show are priced at £44 and £50.
