Ann Widdecombe was due to appear in Basingstoke later this year as a special guest at a Hampshire WI event, but the group is now paying tribute after her death was announced.
The former Conservative minister, who later spoke for Reform, died earlier this month aged 78.
In a statement posted on July 10, Hampshire WI said: "News has been announced this morning that Ann Widdecombe has sadly passed away.

Ms Widdecombe was booked to speak at Autumn Live!, a full-day event at The Anvil in Basingstoke on Tuesday, October 20, run by the Hampshire WI federation.
Event publicity billed her as a "former politician now TV celebrity."
The programme also included spoken word performances and an ABBA tribute act.
Tickets cost £32.50 and organisers said the event was open to members, friends and family, with sales through The Anvil box office.
Ms Widdecombe served as a Conservative MP until 2010 before returning as a Brexit Party MEP and later as a spokesperson for Reform UK.
Police said the man was later rearrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism, meaning he could be held for up to 14 days under terrorism legislation.
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood told MPs the suspect was not known to the Government’s Prevent programme, and said she would look at security advice for former MPs and parties without MPs.
