An employability charity is celebrating 15 years of helping professionals get back into work.

M3 Job Club marks its anniversary with the return of its founder and chair, Richard Thayer, who travelled from Singapore to join the celebrations.

The charity was founded in April 2011 after Mr Thayer experienced redundancy and recognised a gap in support for mid-career professionals.

Mr Thayer said: "M3 Job Club began because I needed support and couldn’t find it. I realised I wasn’t alone.

"Fifteen years later, the club has become a lifeline for thousands of professionals.

"The success of M3 Job Club belongs to its volunteers and members.

"Their commitment has kept the organisation thriving and relevant in a changing labour market."

He launched a programme offering CV reviews, interview coaching and peer support, starting with just four members.

Since then the club has grown significantly and supported nearly 3,000 professionals.

Many have returned to work, launched businesses or moved into retirement.

In 2017, M3 Job Club celebrated its 500th member returning to employment.

The club now holds weekly sessions and continues to rely on volunteer support.

Those interested in volunteering or collaborating with the charity can get in touch via its website, m3jobclub.co.uk.
