A young performer has impressed theatre audiences in her debut principal role in a musical production.

Seven-year-old Elsie-Marie Moody, from Four Marks, starred as Young Anna in a production of Frozen – The West End Musical on the Isle of Wight, earning praise for her vibrant stage presence.

A theatre reviewer described her performance as "an energetic performance full of fizz and vim" and highlighted her "chirpy vocals and zippy dialogue".

Elsie-Marie secured the role after a competitive audition process and travelled to the Isle of Wight every weekend for rehearsals, balancing her training with schoolwork.

Her mother, Hannah Caudle, said: "We are incredibly proud of Elsie-Marie.

"She has worked so hard for this opportunity and showed such dedication by travelling to rehearsals every weekend while continuing with school and all of her training.

"Watching her perform her dream role has been a very special moment for our family."

The Medstead Primary School pupil continues to train with dance teachers Vanessa Golborn and Kahli Lewis, and also trains at Alton Gymnastics.

Ms Caudle, who also provides her singing tuition, said Elsie-Marie dreams of one day playing Elsa in a professional production of Frozen.
