Panini FIFA World Cup sticker swap event in Basingstoke

The next sticker swap event, held outside Helping Dogs & Cats UK Rescue in Feather's Lane, in Basingstoke town centre, will take place on Saturday, July 4.

The Community Interest Company (CIC) based in the town centre hosted the first free event outside its shop, with tables set up from 10am to 4pm for collectors to exchange duplicate Panini FIFA World Cup 2026 stickers.

Organisers said the event exceeded expectations and prompted them to host a second.

Michelle Vince, a volunteer with the rescue, said: "The sticker swap day went down a storm.

"There was no selling or buying, just exchanging stickers, and it encouraged people to have a look in the shop.

"We also made some money in our donation box."

The event was open to all ages and operated on a simple premise: no buying, no selling, just good old-fashioned swapsies to help collectors complete their FIFA World Cup 2026 albums.

The rescue is also appealing for donations of kitten supplies, with the charity currently caring for 36 kittens.

Mrs Vince said: "At the moment, we're desperate for kitten food. We have 36 kittens and we need to keep their strength up."
