A wine shop has applied for a licence to sell alcohol.

Passion Wines Ltd has submitted an application to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council for a premises licence to sell alcohol off-premises consumption only from a small wine retail shop and warehouse at Pitt Hall Farm, Kingsclere Road, Ramsdell.

To view the full public notice, go to publicnoticeportal.uk/notice/alcohol-and-licensing/6a3109729ae480b0d8b8a8bd.

The application, submitted on Friday, June 12, states that the business wants to be able to sell alcohol from Monday to Sunday, from 9am to 7pm.

Passion Wines specialises in the storage, display and sale of imported wines and primarily serves trade clients, including restaurants, bars and other commercial entities.

The proposed licence would allow them to continue this trade-focused operation.

The premises also features a small, controlled tasting area where customers can sample wines before purchasing.

The licensing authority, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, has invited members of the public to make written representations about the application within 28 days of the notice's publication date, until Friday, July 10.

The application can be inspected at the Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke.
