An acclaimed tribute band is gearing up to mark a special anniversary with a performance in Basingstoke.
T.Rextasy, famed for their performances honouring Marc Bolan and T.Rex, will celebrate 50 years of the hit song I Love to Boogie on Friday, September 11 at The Anvil.
The song is fondly remembered for its link to the West End musical and film Billy Elliot.

The group, recognised as the only official live tribute band for T.Rex, has been endorsed and approved by Bolan’s family and estate.
T.Rextasy’s career has now spanned more than 20 years, ironically outlasting the original T.Rex.
They have been praised for being "beyond the boundaries of tribute" and have travelled the world with their performances.
The band recreates the flamboyance and charisma of Bolan and the original T.Rex, who were key figures in the glam rock era of the 1970s, and a string of huge hits including Get it On, Telegram Sam, Jeepster and 20th Century Boy.
The event starts at 7.30pm, and tickets are priced at £40.50 and £38.50.
