SAINTS fans were treated to a nostalgic performance as ex-players returned to the turf for a charity match in Basingstoke.
Basingstoke Saints marked 30 years of the town’s Southampton FC supporters’ club with a special charity match against Ex Saints Legends at Winklebury Football Complex, raising money for St Michael’s Hospice and other local causes.
Supporters packed into the Winklebury Football Complex as Basingstoke Saints hosted a charity game against Ex Saints Legends to celebrate 30 years of the Southampton FC supporters’ club in the town.
The Friday night fixture, played under the lights at the home of Hampshire FA and Basingstoke Town FC, brought generations of Saints fans together on and off the pitch.

The match kicked off at 6.30pm on Friday, June 12, with entry by donation and all proceeds going to St Michael’s Hospice and other local charities.
As well as the action on the pitch, supporters were able to enjoy food and a fundraising raffle, which included a signed Southampton shirt among the prizes.
Organisers billed the occasion as a “special night of football” for the town’s Saints community, marking three decades since the Basingstoke supporters’ club was formed.
Fans young and old turned out in red and white to watch the Ex Saints Legends side take on Basingstoke Saints, with plenty of chances for photos and autographs around the ground.
