The 7 cutest dogs at Bark in the Park, Basingstoke

While the heat meant the dog show had to be cancelled on safety grounds, plenty of four-legged visitors still made an appearance alongside their owners, and we've picked out some of the most gorgeous faces from the day.

Among the youngest on show was eight-month-old Eden, who looked absolutely tiny and utterly adorable as she attended with owner Clara Cox. Not far behind in the cute stakes was Nova, just shy of nine months old, who bounded along with owner Myles Paige.

Myles was joined on the day by his mum Janis, and her dog Millie, a seven-year-old who is something of a Gazette celebrity, having appeared in our pages before. It was a proper family day out, with two generations and two dogs in tow.

For sheer fluffiness, it was hard to look past Noodles, a nine-year-old Chow Chow belonging to Katie Hemmings. Named after chow mein, Noodles is every bit as gloriously fluffy as you'd hope, and somehow managed to look fabulous despite the sweltering heat.

Eight-year-old Ralphie was thoroughly in his element, tail wagging and loving every minute of the day out with owner Claire Tapping, while 10-year-old Cinnie, belonging to Bobbie Trussler, brought a touch of elegance to proceedings and looked absolutely beautiful throughout.

Rounding off our selection was five-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Frankie, one of the youngest pups on the day, who attended with owner Ricardo Madeina and proved that Staffies really do have some of the most expressive faces in the business.
