The Basingstoke Gazette published two death notices last week.
Every week, the Gazette publishes death notices and funeral announcements from the families of loved ones who have passed away.
As well as appearing in print, our death notice pages will remain online as a lasting tribute to the memory of those we have lost.

Peter Joseph Thompson
Late CEO of St Michael’s Hospice Basingstoke, Died 3rd May after a long illness. Deeply mourned by his wife of 60 years Pat, his children David and Susan, in-laws Clare and Luke, sister Patricia and granddaughters Zofia and Charlotte.

Violet 'Ann' Childs
Sadly passed away on 8th May 2026, aged 84 years. Violet will be dearly missed by her husband Edwin, daughters Carolyn and Nicky, her grandchildren, family and friends.
