A youth football club has received a boost thanks to a new sponsorship deal.

Tadley Calleva Youth Football Club, based in Tadley, has secured support from housebuilder Redrow, which is currently developing at nearby Willow Park in Bramley.

The sponsorship will go towards funding trophies for the club’s upcoming tournament in June, to be held at the AWE Recreational Society Sports Ground.

The chairman at Tadley Calleva Youth club said: "At Tadley Calleva Youth Football Club, we provide football for boys and girls across a range of age groups and backgrounds.

"The cost of maintenance and equipment is a challenge for any club, and this sponsorship from Redrow for our tournament in June means a great deal to us.

"We hope to continue this partnership in the future."

The club is one of the largest youth football clubs in North Hampshire, with more than 300 boys and girls registered from under six up to under sixteen.

Phil Hurring, marketing manager at Barratt Redrow Southern Counties, said: "Supporting Tadley Calleva Youth Football Club reflects our commitment to supporting the communities where we build.

"The club supports many children across the area and we wish them all the best in their upcoming tournament in June."

The club was founded in 1971 as Calleva Football Club, before merging with the Tadley FC men's team in 2000.
